The free to download Assault Cube game is an exciting and fast-paced free shooter game for single and multi-players. The game is based on the Cube engine. The setting is created with realistic environments along with fast, arcade game play. Formerly named as Action Cube, the developers have done a satisfactory job with regards to its graphics. Although the graphics are a bit basic, it was designed that way so players can enjoy it even in a 56K modem on a broadband connection, which means there are no possible lags during the game. This game has a single player mode that consists of bots that are computer-controlled. Assault Cube uses effective bandwidth usage which allows the game to function with a connection speed as low as 56 kbit/s. Although it was based on Cube engine, it was designed to be more team-oriented while keeping the familiar fast-paced game play of Cube. Compared to other video games, Assault Cube is a bit slower than Quake; however, it is faster compared to the game Counter Strike. In this particular video game, there are a couple of teams called the RVSF or the Rabid Viper Special Forces and the CLA or the Cubers Liberations Army. The game permits the players to use straferunning to move at a fast speed, with the help of the movement bug that originated in the Cube engine.
